Build a product and your customers will come ❌ πŸ™…

February 15, 2024

This may seem contrary to what I have been talking about the last few weeks... but if you want to start a business, see if you can solve a problem manually before going out and building a product. Why?

A HUGE number of successful businesses have done this Devika included 😝).

A lot of founders assume simply building an app will make them the next unicorn. But they've missed the most important steps: finding product market fit, total addressable market and your conversion rate (SALES!)

Before we started Baseline as its own company, we provided app development services to clients for 4 years, and then 3 years of using Baseline within our agency.

If we jumped right into building Baseline on day 1, we wouldn't have understood our clients or made 100's of mistakes which helped us to create the product it is now.

Just my 2 cents… what do I know 🀣 So to any prospective startup founders, is there a way to sell your idea as a service before building a product?
