🎨 Last Friday’s launch event of our Sally Fitzgibbons Art Therapy Experience collaboration with Devika was an incredible day. 🌊 It is hard to put into words the impact and emotion felt in the room – you really had to be there!
🏄 A massive shoutout to Sally, who has been a pleasure to collaborate with. Sally got home from the World Surfing League the day before the event but that didn’t stop her moving the hearts of everyone in the room on Friday when she spoke about her mission to create an ocean experience for all. I’m honored to be able to help her deliver her mission through technology 🧑‍💻
During the pandemic Sally shared with us how being at the beach and painting her board helped her with the stress of lockdowns, especially in between competitions. It was therapeutic for her and she wanted everyone to be able to experience a calming, ocean experience too. That was the seed in which the experience grew from and has now come to fruition. The Sally Fitzgibbons Art Therapy experience is set at the beach, with a surfboard as the canvas, with art supplies all around you that you can pick up and paint the board with. Your board is your canvas. Your palette is your imagination. The possibilities are endless, all near the ocean.
🌏 I spoke at the event about Devika’s own mission: to use technology to positively affect people, the planet, pushing boundaries in the name of prosperity. And we’re doing exactly that through the launch of this collaboration 🤗
đź’™ A highlight of the day was donating two VR headsets to the Disabled Surfers Association South Coast. This donation will help them bring this innovative technology to their participants.
